It is the basic factor of promoting national informationalization development to upgrade citizen's information literacy and foster innovative talents, and it, therefore, decided that education informationalization enjoys basic status in national informationalization development. Teacher is one of the important factors of education activities, teacher's information technology ability affects the procession of education informationslization directly. To develop teacher's information technology ability continuously is the common demand of the present information society, national policy, and current class reform. Owing to these demands, we need to pay more attention to the information technology ability of middle school and primary school teachers, and to analysis and study its development strategy. However, teacher's information technology ability in our country is not satisfactory. Through investigation we know that a lot of teachers in our country are lack of information technology ability, and it handicaps our education informationalization.This essay combined the train effects of Intel Teach to the Future and the Action Research to study the teacher's information technology ability sustainable development subject. It's main target is to find our a more effective way to apply to the development of teacher's information technology ability. The essay can be divided into five parts as follows:Part I. Preface. Explains the subject selection reason, the background, current situation, aim, importance, and study method of the research comprehensively.Part II. Discusses the meaning and category of teacher's information technology ability, and explain the importance and necessity of teacher's information technology ability from the view of the needs of school education reform, teaching in information era, learning methods transform, teacher's professionalization development, and the realizaion of information technology's combination with subject teaching.Part III. As a global training project, Intel Teach to the Future was introduced to our country three years ago, and the project has gained great success in China.Through interview and investigating questionnaire, we made an investigation on the training effects and the current situation of teacher's information technology ability to those who attended the training project in Lanzhou city, and made analysis and conclusion on existing problems.Part IV. Basing on the abovementioned research and analysis, we tried to understand Action Research further, and using it to promote the continuous development of teacher's information technology ability. This par mainly explains the theory basis of Action Research and its strategy status in teaching.Part V. Focal point of the essay. This part put forward the idea of combine Action Research and Intel Teach to the Future to promote the sustainable development of teacher's information technology ability. Firstly, it discussed the necessity of the combination of Action Research and Intel Teach to the Future. Secondly, it discussed from five levels that the combination can effectively promote teacher's information technology ability to transform application level to internalize level, and accomplish information technology ability's continuously self updating procession, and finally promote teacher's information technology ability sustainable development. Lastly, it points out that the combination of Action Research and Intel Teach to the Future still needs the support and safeguard from the school education management mechanism.Part VI. Conclusion. It makes a brief conclusion on the research, points out the innovation and shortcoming of the study, and the direction of further study.
