The Research Of Aesthetic Education Development And Implementation In Chinese Universities

As a significant component of quality education, aesthetic education has received more and more attention in universities with cultural environment. However, its development does not live up to our expectations, and also has much imperfection. In many Chinese universities, there are some university students and even some educationists who have some misunderstandings toward the concept, connotation, significance, the way of development and the like of aesthetic education. Therefore as a way of education which can perfect personality, enhances human creativity, and is helpful to the human harmony, it is of vital importance to initiate the development of aesthetic education in universities.Aesthetic education is a kind of education which can raise human aesthetic appeal in order to discover create beauty in various kinds of social activities. It takes emotional communication as the main method, with the mergence of knowledge education, artistic education, competence education, communication education as well as psychological education as a whole, achieving an equivalent and harmonious mental status under the emotional experiences, in order to perfect one's personality.It has incomparable effects with other education on people's development of thoughts, formation of creativity, and enhancement of aesthetic ability. It unifies beauty, aesthetic ability and education, thus promoting human aesthetic appeal and aesthetic feeling, raising human aesthetic consciousness, strengthening human aesthetic standard, perfecting harmonious personality, and creating harmonious relations between humans, in order to contribute to the construction of a harmonious campus and a harmonious society.Beauty is what people create during the long process of social practice. Its essence lies in making the human strength as object. Therefore, aesthetic education is education which can develop human aesthetic thoughts. It perfects personality, with the aim of teaching human to learn aesthetic as well as developing individual creativity in various kinds of educational practice. This paper will discuss aesthetic education from the perspective of the classification of its nature, and will put forward some proposal and advice on the definition and implementation of aesthetic education.
