Chinese Teaching And Construction About The Awareness Of Gender

Since the World Women Conference was held in 1995, the awareness of gender has been introduced to the mainland as a brandly new concept, displaying its unique charms of the profound connotation and extension .But in the world which is made upof two sexes —male and female ,there are still some unequality between men andwomen .The traditional ideas of sex has brought some problems to the population. The proportion of newly borned babies in china is severely imblanced and this phenomena is getting more and more serious. As to the sexual education for teenagers, there are still some aspects that are not as one wishes. Chinese is one of the main subjects in primary and junior school. But sexual preconceptions still remain in the actual complementary teaching materials to some degree. Therefore, the analysis of sex should be added and we should select new teaching materials based on the equality of sex. In order to get the education of sexual consciousness through, it is important for Chinses teachers to gereralize the idea in the teaching. In addition, the proportion of teachers sexes should be reasonably considered.In the teaching activities of Chinese, reading and writing are the most important approaches. When reading, we should put particular emphasis on the analysis of whose theme is love, especially when we teach teenagers who are in their adolescence. It will be helpful for them to set up a good attitude towards love. On the other hand, we should give special attention to the female images in the materials .We should as well excavate the scource of their miserable life and show the students the social facts that have caused the unequal of men and women so that the awareness of equality can be constructed in students. In writing , we should have a proper manner towards the differences between male and female .Besides ,we are supposed to improve our teaching methods and teaching the students based on there different personalities and characteristics. As for an effective way, we can assign some materials to the students according to their interest and let them explore the ideas that should be write in order to stress their thinking towards the culture of two sexes in literatures.
