On The Adversity Of And Solutions To The Ideological And Political Education Of Students In Chinese Private-owned Colleges

With the development of the reform and opening-up career and the socialist market economy and the implement of the policy of relying on science and education to rejuvenate the nation, the private-owned higher education has become an important part of the whole education entity in China. It plays an important role in the process of deepening the renovation and promoting the popularization of the higher education in China. It is necessary to highlight the ideological and political education of students in private-owned colleges, as it is an essential aspect in the education management and a leading role in cultivating the student's personality.Though the ideological and political education of students has already made some achievements in private-owned colleges, it is still in great adversity under the historical and realistic constraints. This adversity mainly results from the following factors: the comparatively low overall students quality, relatively stagnant education materials, out-dated education methods, complex education environment and unreasonable teacher structure. This adversity has undermined the ideological and political education effects on students in our private-owned colleges to a certain degree.Based on the realities of the private-owned colleges and their students, this thesis puts forward several practical and feasible solutions to improving the ideological and political education in these private-owned colleges. They can be summarized as follows: first, improving the way of education of administration cadres;second, promoting the quality of course arrangement of the ideological and political theory courses;third, optimizing the environments of the ideological and political education;forth, emphasizing the self-improvement of the teaching stuff;fifth, standardizing the Partyorganization in private-owned colleges.
