The biology experiment teaching in high schools is one of the most important links, which trains student's abilities, and improves students' scientific quality. In the current biology experiment teaching in high schools, teachers emphasize cognition but neglect process. And they also emphasize indirectly empirical induction but despise students' ability development. This present condition makes some students study passively, and even tired of studying. After checking a great deal of research data, the writer takes advantage of many years of teaching experience to put forward concrete strategies of promoting the students' investigation study in biology experiment teaching in high schools.The writer makes use of some research methods of checking research data, interviewing teachers, and carrying on a questionnaire to the high school students etc. This thesis consists four chapters. The first chapter is an introduction. On the base of investigating and interviewing, the writer analyzes the present condition of biology experiment teaching and the investigation study in high schools of Hunan Province. The writer also introduces the background and significant of this research. The second chapter is a relevant literature review. On the bade of collecting a great deal of data, the writer elaborates the theoretical background of this thesis and discusses the investigate study, the experiment teaching and some related research theories. The thesis introduces a definition to the concept, characteristic and the development condition of the investigation study. And it also puts forward that the biology experiment teaching is an important path to investigate study. The third chapters introduces in detail the implement of how to promote the students' investigates study ability through experiment teaching. The writer introduces thedifficulties she meets with in her teaching practice and discusses how to solve the difficulties, pointing out the problems that should be noticed in related teaching practice. The writer definitely puts forward the teaching principles, teaching targets of promoting the student investigate study abilities in the experiment teaching, and also the project of evaluating the students. The fourth chapter is conclusion. Through practicing, the writer thinks that we should pay attention to the following about the current teaching materials, current class and the current investigation study: (D The contents of investigation study should be neither too difficult nor too easy. (2) We should emphasize the preview of experiments when we carry out the investigation study. (3) Teachers should give the students plenty of time to carry on investigating study, and they themselves should master teaching method of the investigation experiment. (4) We should value teachers' conducting role during the investigation study. Different from former research on investigation study in experiment teaching, this thesis applies a great number of cases to clarify that the investigation experiment isn't a unique path to carry out the investigation study. In our usual teaching, if teachers can pay more attention to the development of the students' investigation study ability, and emphasize how to lead the students, other ways such as verification experiments, demonstrating experiments can also train the students' investigation ability.
