21C, my country education is the "examination-oriented education" to "quality education" changes, a new round of the basic education curriculum reform has been in full swing, the quality of teacher education is the main implementation, the success of the current curriculum and to a large extent depends on the quality of teachers.The quality of teachers, teaching is teachers in the educational activities demonstrated, to determine their educational results for students with physical and mental development of the various direct and significant impact on the quality and application capabilities combined. Therefore, the quality of teachers is a holistic concept, which is the aggregate quality of teachers. The quality of teachers should be evolving. With quality education and to continue to promote the development of basic education curriculum reform to the quality of secondary school geography teachers make new demands. And secondary school geography teachers in the past have been in an embarrassing situation for a long time, the current overall quality of secondary school geography teachers the status quo is not satisfactory and can not meet the education reform, quality education needs.The use of literature analysis, survey methods, and the status of geography teachers analysed for the new age and new secondary school curriculum reform geographical background of the teachers should have new curriculum ideas, knowledge structure and the quality of basic structural capacity explored.According to the analysis, this article also briefly raised the quality ofsecondary school geography teachers in the basic training course. From the pre-training (colleges and universities teacher education) and in-service education (continuing education), two aspects related to new ways to meet the 21st century needs of professional geography teachers.
