Based on the students' interest and first hand experience, the Integrated Practice Activity Curriculum is a newly established research-oriented course closely associated with reality and practicality with an intention to bring up creativity and an impetus to put what is learnt in class into practice. It has been listed in the adapted curriculum as a compulsory course in the 21st century China Educational reform, which meets with the international education trend and the need to implement quality education. There are three parts in this thesis. The first part illustrates the status of primary schools in Shenzhen and the existing pros and consever since the course was introduced. Various problems appear in the course exercise from the educational executives, research divisions, schools, teachers, community, students and the parents alike, although a nationwide research and probe has been done. The second part is an analysis of the existing problems and comes up with some awareness, experience and objective limitation. The third part comes up with some suggestions with the local reality put into account in attempt to enhance the course implementation, i.e. to reinforce publicity and associated training, to sum up, to locate an experiment, and to improve surroundings. The Integrated Practice Activity Curriculum, on a whole, is a brand-new course, whose rationale, concept and pedagogy have broadened our educational horizons and created surroundings for the development of students' individuality.
