The basic nursing science is the core lecture of nursing medicine. Because of younger age and poor effect of learning of the secondary vacational nursing student, the influence on content and procedure of learning is hard to avoid. With the development of modern information technology, flipped classroom, as an innovative teaching mode, is rising quietly and becoming a great breakthrough in the teaching refo rm. Because of the characteristics of mobile and openness, Flipped Classroom has subverted the natural mode of traditional teaching and let students become the activists of learning. The aim of this study was to research the effect of Flipped Classroom Teaching Model on “Basic Nursing Science” in a Nursing School in Nanchang city, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this model in the nursing education by means of the evaluation of teaching efficiency.In this study, 100 nursing students of Grades 2014 were simple randomly divided into two groups, a control group(n=50) and an experiment group(n=50). Experiment group used Flipped Classroom Teaching Model, while the control group used traditional teaching method. Theory examination and skills assessment were carried out in the two groups at the end of the course, the form and content of examinations were the same. A questionnaire, nursing students basic nursing practice teaching quality satisfaction survey, was used to evaluate the satisfaction of student to Flipped Classroom Teaching Model. Use SPSS18.0 for data processing, the two groups were compared using t-test process; to test the level of p=0.05 to determine whether there are statistically significant.The conclusion of this paper is that Flipped Classroom Teaching Model method can significantly improve the practice, theoretical score and satisfaction of nursing students. The results of this study can provide theoretical foundation and practice instruction in establishing a new reform teaching model for vocational nursing which is adaptable to the real situation in China.
