With the fast development of Internet, changes have taken place in the whole society. Consequently, education has to evolve to build up the new instructional idea, instructional model, instructional structure and instructional system in order to adapt to huge changes, which the information age brought about.The purposes of this essay are to study which instructional model is applied to information technology instruction during the web-based condition. These years, traditional classroom instruction (classroom, instructor, textbook) play an important role in primary-education and secondary-education computer instruction. The teacher is the focus and transmits the information. The learner just constructs knowledge from it. This kind of traditional instructional model limits the abilities of students' creativity and practice. By analyzing the questionnaire, which was carried out by the freshmen from Jiangsu Province, we can find out many disadvantages of the traditional instruction. For example, students learn the knowledge passively. Instructors ignore the design of learning condition and interaction of instructional content. However, web-based information technology instruction is not the simple combination of the traditional instruction and Internet, but the new instructional model based on the combination of the constructivist learning theory and AusubeP s learning and teaching theory. The primary web-based instructional models, which I study, are task-driven instructional model and webquest instructional model. In th is task-driven instructional model, instructors design one or more task according to the concrete context. The design of tasks will identify a target framework, explore students' prior knowledge of the concept, specify the salient characteristics, analyse the context and construct a definition of the concept. This model is more suitable to the primary education in information technology instruction. However, the webquest instructional model will fit the secondary education in this field. The purpose of the webquest instructional model is to position the course into a larger perspective for students so they have a clear sense of where the course is headed, the internet is employed for the instructional purpose, what the expectations are, how learning will be accomplished, and how support will be provided. This model will introduce the new unit to students so that they are more active,understand their assignment responsibilities, understand key relationships within the unit, and understand the upcoming sequence of instruction. Moreover, this model will demonstrates how to teach a unit in a manner that will benefit a wide range of students.All in all, information technology instruction is developing in information age. In new conditions, many aspects of education have not been formatted and many spaces are left to us to study and explore.
