| The reform experiment in the new curriculum for high school students carried out from the autumn of 2004 highlights the educational conception to develop the students'personality and make the people as the foremost during the teaching process. While chemistry, as a part in the reform, should implement this conception to achieve the development of each student, who should become comprehensive as well as characteristic. To achieve the goal asks for the teachers to teach students in accordance with their aptitude, which we can call individualized method of instruction. As a result, studying this method and principle will still make realistic sense, even in the condition of new curriculum.We can see that most of the chemistry teachers can teach students in accordance with their aptitude more or less. But they don't really fulfill this principle. In fact, to teach students in accordance with their aptitude should make this principle a regular teaching idea, a conventional pattern and a teaching habit.This article is to analyze the reasons for difficulties in applying this principle to chemistry teaching, and to probe into a operational pattern using this principle from 3 aspects as the following: I) what is"according to their aptitude"II) how to teach case by case. III) to build a set of test and evaluation system of the students'accomplishments.According to the operational pattern, the writer draws an"outline for the class and students researched", and looks into the thoughts, cognition and ability of each student. In the teaching process, teachers should develop the students'ability of seeking and dealing with information, analyzing and solving problems, communicating and cooperating with each other, investigating as well.
