Textbooks as the materializing stuff are the material embodiment of thecurriculum standard as well as the important resource and medium for teachersand students. With the publishing of the new curriculum program for seniorhigh school and curriculum standard for every subject in 2003, the senior highschool curriculum experiment is put into practice. Until now, textbooks ofthree editions have appeared. They are separately published by People'sEducation Press, Jiangsu Education Press and Shangdong Science andTechnology Press. And they have been put into practice in Shandong Province,Guangdong Province, Hainan Province and Ningxia Province. Thediversification of textbooks proposed in the new curriculum setting will bringus more questions to study. How to make full use of the textbook in teachingand how to improve the compiling of the new textbook have become theproblems needed to be solved urgently in the practice of the newcurriculum.We hope that we can offer this thesis for teachers in their choiceand implementation of the new textbook as well as offer reference andenlightenment for the person who compile textbook.The paper consists of five parts.The first part puts forward the problem. It shows clearly the reason ofselecting this topic by an explanation of such issues as senior high schoolchemistry curriculum reform, the compiling of senior high school chemistrytextbook and the request of senior high school chemical teaching.The second part is the aims,tasks and methods of the study.The third part is the thesis study base.It includes literature review and theconstruction of the model. First, the thesis summarizes the current situation ofthe high school chemistry textbook. It includes both domestic and internationalresearch on the textbook compiling, analysis and evaluation of textbooks andthe compare on textbooks along with the requirement for textbook designunder the curriculum standard. On this basis, the paper constructs the model oftextbook analysis. This modle includes three parts: choice of the content,organization of the content and the showing of the content.The fourth part, which is the emphasis of the paper, is the analysis of thetextbook. According to the model, this part analyzes the three editionsconcretely. For the analysis on the choice of the content, the thesis proceedswith two angles, one is the content standards in curriculum standard, the thesislists the concrete content and the columns in the textbook which embody thecontent standard, it also points out the inconsistency between the textbook andthe curriculum standard;While the other is by classifying the knowledge in thetextbook into factual knowledge, theoretic knowledge, skillful knowledge,tactic knowledge and emotional knowledge. For the organization of the content,on one hand, the paper has analyzed the system of the textbook, on the otherhand, the paper has analyzed the concrete organization idea of the typicalcontent, including basic chemical theories, elements and compounds, STScontent, experiment content. As for the showing of the content, the paper hasanalyzed it from the following four aspects column, illustration, exercise andthe style of writing.The fifth part is the conclusion and enlightenment. On the basis ofanalyzing in an all-round way, the paper summarizes the characteristics of thethree editions respectively, and proposes seven suggestions on the textbookcompiling: ⑴ The compiling of textbook must be based on the curriculumstandard and the content must be carefully chosen;⑵ Textbooks should havegood adaptability and have stronger flexibility and variety;⑶ We must studyon the design of inquiry activity scientifically;⑷ Designing the columnaccording to students' actual conditions;⑸ Textbooks should stress the studyof the basic idea and the training for the scientific method;⑹ Textbooksshould arrange exercise rationally;⑺ We should study the students' readingpsychology when writing textbooks. |
