With the quick development of multi-media technology, the application of CAI in thefield of education teaching has become the hot point of teaching innovation. This thesismakes a conclusion of teaching experiences from using CAI to assist Physics teachingunder the new course principle. Put forward that using CAI to assist Physics teaching mustregard constructivism as its own guiding theory to establish a good learning environmentand fulfil the construction of knowledge. The author proves with abundant and accuratematerial and points out the problems needed to pay attention.The first part discusses the development and the basic theory evolution of CAI. Atpresent, CAI has come to its mature stage which is based on the constructivism. Pointingout that CAI can offer a flood of useful information, establish a comfortable learningenvironment and help students cooperate and exchange ideas with each other, to realize theconstruction of knowledge. Under the guide of the instructive theory and during the reformof Physics teaching, CAI has become the essential technique that should be needed.The second part analyzes the characteristic of necessary and possibility to use CAI toassist teaching. Meantime, the thesis points out that only the development of teachers canlead to the development of students. And CAI can and should play an important role toupdate the education, to train the qualified teachers for the Primary teaching.The third part discusses the application of CAI in the field of normal school's Physicsteaching. Illustrating the application of CAI in many aspects: create Physics scene, showthe dynamic Physics progress, guide the students to investigate study, assist Physicsexperiment teaching, help to exchange information and reappear the historical facts etc.with real examples. We think that the relationship between CAI and traditional teachingshould be a kind of organic complementary relationship, not a simple substitutingrelationship.The fourth part is for education practice. Using two teaching examples to illustrate thestrong function and advantage of CAI in Physics teaching. Some of the soft wares aremade by ourselves and the others are from the Internet. The soft wares used are varioussuch as PowerPoint, AuthorWare, Director, Flash, and imitate true Physics laboratory soon.The fifth part concludes the effect of applying CAI in normal school's Physicsteaching and points out the problems that should attract attention. It also makes a prospectof CAI in the normal school's Physics teaching.
