In view of the caring of the students as the main part, this article proposes theidea that is called active study in the new Chinese curriculum. Active study in the newChinese curriculum means to build a main form whose core part is students. Itscharacteristics are educational, creative and practical and its purpose is to encouragethe students to participate, practice, think, explore and create actively in learningChinese so as to develop their quality in a full scale. It breaks the traditional unitaryChinese teaching model and sets up a new instructive idea –"developing by activity"and it also holds the developing and modern view that the most important thing is thetraining of activity and creativeness. It creates a new Chinese learning method theorywhose main characteristics is learners as center and learners studying and exploringactively. It not only enriches and enlarges the knowledge bases of Chinese teachingtheory but also will cause a series of reforming from teaching concepts to teachingprocedures in Chinese teaching practice. Thus, active study not only blazes a new trailof theory but also has a high value of practice.Active study in the new Chinese curriculum brings forth new ideas to teachingconcepts. It thinks highly of people as main part and purchases the aim that is tocultivate the students into those who can do things actively. It insists that developingshould be carried out through activity and maintains the idea that the students developthe ability and get living experiences correspondingly through colorful activity. Itpursues democracy and harmony and helps the students get the experience which is tolearn knowledge with pleasure.Active study forms its own teaching principle which insists practical and it leavesthe students enough room to practice and is really a unity of teaching, learning anddoing. It insists the principle that studying is active and enables the students todevelop fully. It also insists movement principle that the teachers and students buildtheir knowledge system and develop themselves together. It insists opening principlethat the learning process is open. It insists life rebuilt principle that caring the life andexperience is important and make the life of learning full of sunshine.Active study raises its own learning tactics. It maintains the idea that the teachingaim should base itself upon the development of the students' Chinese level and it caresthe producing aim. It maintains the idea that colorful activity methods should be taken,such as exploring learning method, helping one another learning method, experiencinglearning method and creative learning method etc. It pays much attention to the innervalue of activity and pursues the meaning of the activity itself. It lays stress ondeveloping Chinese curriculum in schools and exploring the Chinese curriculumresources properly in schools. It attaches importance to form living studyingenvironment and helps the students to cooperate and explore freely in this kind ofenvironment. It holds the point of view that the evaluation should be pluralistic for thepurpose of the students' fully development and put forwards the new train of thoughtto the Chinese learning evaluation.
