Along with the development of the knowledge economy, creativity cultivationandquality-oriented education, scholars are paying more and more attention to theMusicCurriculum. Music Curriculum is not just a course form, it is also a complicate,alive andnamic educational reality, concerning the development of musiceducation andreflecting the nature of Music Curriculum as well. So it is of vitalimportance to correctlyunderstand its concepts and apply them in teaching practice.By theoretical review andcomparison, this thesis studies the goal, content andappraisal mechanism of MusicCurriculum in order to have a better understanding ofthe present Music Curriculum Standardand a better application in the future.Chapter One IntroductionThis chapter reviews the development of Music Curriculum concepts andpoints outthe significance of the writing this thesis. It starts from issues from theobservation of somesocial phenomena and music education and then goes intoanalysis of Music Curriculumconcepts in both theories and practices. The latter partcompares the concepts and the presentsstudy between home and abroad.Chapter Two Main BodyThis chapter focuses on the Music Curriculum concepts in China. In thetheoretical part,connotations and extentions of the Music Curriculum concepts arereviewed and summarized.The following goes into the analysis embodied in the goal,content and appraisalmechanism.The last part compares the Chinese concepts ofIntegration of Music Curriculumwith the National Standard of Art Curriculum ofAmerica. Both similarities and differences arediscussed in details.Chapter Three ConclusionChanges have taken place in music teaching along with the understanding ofcomprehensive concepts in music curriculum. Yet we need to understand itscientifically andget ready for problems to be popped up along with its application.Implications andsuggestions concerning the issues are given by the author to conclude the paper.
