Social stratification is considered focus of discussion by social scholars again, and become the focus that society pays attention to increasingly. With the social development of our country, the social structure changes rapidly and the social stratum is divided more and more clear now. At the time of the living level of the social members improving continuously, the difference of the income and life style between various social stratums increasingly obviously. The children from different social stratums have the different chance to accept high quality. The stratum possesses the superiority hope to let their children receive better education through their superiority to strengthen their"society status". On the other side, the children of the weak groups in the society stratum are in the inferior position in education. Now, the gap between different stratums affects the justice of education more and more outstandingly. And the question is beginning to be concerned by the whole society. In the article, I study that how the social stratification affect the equality of education process from the angle of the educational sociology and look for the practical ways to promote the equality of education and society. The thesis comprises four parts:The first part sorts the basic theory of social stratification from its meaning, standard and function while analyzing and summarizing the standpoints, which are currently being researched by scholars in our country. The second part focuses in depth on the relationship between social stratification and the impartiality issues of the educational process, which includes meaning of equality, educational equality and equality of educational opportunity, and the impact of social classification on the educational equality from macroscopic angle. The third part focuses on five different ways where social stratification can influence the time educated of a student, the information and cultural resources of a student, the values, knowledge and abilities of a student, the accessibility to educational resources and the student-teacher relationship. Through this analysis, it is found that the educational resources imparted to the younger generation of different social stratification are of different quality, which is inequitable, and this can affect the equality of the educational process. The fourth part analyses the reasons behind the inequitable effects that social stratification has on the education process and proposes feasible suggestions to achieve a more impartial education based on the above-mentioned inequitable phenomenon.
