This thesis an account of basic contents of research-oriented learning. It also dwells upon the goal of research-oriented learning as well as the role research-oriented learning playing in the new curriculum planning. Based on the analysis of current study on research-oriented learning, the author puts forword some suggestions about systematic inquiry into the integrated methods in combination with the research-oriented learning conducted in No.2 High school, which aims at the feasibility of integration of chemistry instruction in high schools with research-oriented learning. They are:The integration of research-oriented learning with chemistry instruction material.The integration of research-oriented learning with classroom chemistry instruction.The integration of research-oriented learning with chemistry experimental instruction.The study is conducted from the aspects of contents, methods as well as basic means of the above -mentioned integration, closely connected with the knowledge and characteristics of comparative experimental investigation and questionnaire data analysis. the result of the study shows: the integration of research-oriented learning with chemistry instruction plays an essential role in enhancing students' problem-solving awareness and creativity, and strengthening student' awareness of team work. The study and exploration into this methodology are expected to be conducted widely and continuously so that the chemistry instruction and research-oriented learning be improved a great deal in our future work.
