Since department of education issued national program for elementary education curriculum reform(trial), New curriculum experiment has been done to a upsurge in different parts of China. Confronting the new educational situation and new curriculum task, all teachers were challenged rigorously. How to adjust their roles and develop themselves are important insurances and bottleneck restricting in the course of the new curriculum implement. Therefore, using methods of reference, content analysis, case study and combining related theoretical research results at home and abroad, teachers' roles were explored from the perspectives of theory and practice in the paper. And some constructive advices to all teachers are advanced sincerely to deal with the problem in the new curriculum implement. Four parts are consisted in the paper.Series sub-problems are put forward in the first part. Straighten the theoretic skeleton of the theory of teachers' roles and clarify the background of the new curriculum reform; Then some emergent problem are developed. Is there a constant in all sorts of teachers' roles? What is it? What is "change"? In the long history, how to keep the strain of "change" and "constant"? Which sorts of teachers' roles have? Compared the past, which prominent sorts teachers' roles have in the new curriculum implement? Which problems for teachers are in the new curriculum implement? How do the teachers handle them and give them role orientation? Etc... Then analyze and define related concepts.The type of teacher's roles are generalized theoretically and analyzed in the second part. All sorts of teachers' roles description at present are classified respectively from education system, the evolution of teachers'roles , the development of teaching profession and the metaphors Then,teachers'roles are analyzed from the respective of educational philosophy. We draw a conclusion that it is a constant in the teacher's role system. Various role types are external forms of expression and "change". The peculiarity of role types are pointed out .and teachers should adjust and oriented themselves around the centralization of "cultivating human".
