Students' ability cultivation attracts our great attention. Experimental ability is the basis for science research and also playes an important part in research application. In the new curriculum reform, experimental ability cultivation owns its special place and will surely become more and more important in helping students improve experimental and research ability in science. It is no doubt that research into students' experimental ability and the way of improvement will help students form more helpful science attitude.The main purpose of this dissertation is to build up a feasible theory system which can evaluate students' practical ability in scientific experiments, research and analysis. Scientific experiment ability is a complicated system and it involves many different factors. Concepts are presented here based on modern psychology and system analysis subjects. In general, experimental ability comprises of three parts, namely middle school experimental knowledge, experimental operation skills and experimental problem-solving ability, which are correlated and co-existent.According to the concept of structure of experimental ability, ability check-up examination papers are divided into three types, experiment knowledge test; experiment operation test, and experiment problem-solving ability test.
