Why Sleeping In Class

The main method what carries on the research is Qualitative Research. The research took place in one class of Shanghai A Vocational High School. Through observation, interviewing and collecting related real object data and selecting the sleeping phenomenon for a semester in class. I discover that the students in the vocational school sleep in class commonly and this phenomenon conceals the direct and indirect reasons, according to the originality of sleeping in class, I provide some possible suggestions.The study results point out that the students sleeping in class are different. Six individual cases are lively presented in details.The direct reasons of sleeping in class are very different each other, but the indirect reasons of that are surprisingly similar. These indirect reasons includes the maladjustment of the learning life of students; the imperfection of student's exterior condition. The former maintains learning motivation, learning ability of students are not moderate the learning behavior of them:Student' s group are not harmonious of essential group. The latter is that school education can not satisfy the student' s needs; The society did not provide a set of long-term, valid salvage and guarantee mechanisms for students.Aim at the above reasons, the writer suggests that some possible measures be done. The main suggestions are: building up the vocational school student personal guidance system; building up the cooperation mechanism between school and family; changing the education mode of the school; nation and government should help vocational schools with funds, strengthen the schools and enterprises to cooperate, opening the public-spirited place for vocational school students, and the admission is free or the half is free.
