Presently, the importance of infants and toddlers' early education and care has become the world mutual recognition. In our country, the 0-3rd early education and care is raised on the agenda, as the important beginning of lifelong education system. Early childhood education in Shanghai also made some reform to make sure as much as 0-3ed children could be covered. However, because the full-time nursery is unable to undertake this work, Shanghai sets up some community-based early childhood educational institution. But it is still a new challenge to teachers who have being working in kindergarten for a long time. Different from early education in full-time nursery, Early education and instruction center emphasizes the instruction to infants' parents. So, when the functional localization of instruction has been misunderstood in the beginning of work, early education and instruction center degenerated into children' playing center, so the case in my study made some reform to improve its instruction. This research divides the differences between and early education and instruction, and goes a step further by exploring how to used different instructional patterns thoroughly. This dissertation mainly studied three kinds of instruction patterns through two years observation and analysis: on-the-spot guidance, outside the field instruction and network instruction.This research investigates the functional localization of instruction patterns, as well as their content and forms, by which to find the specialty between early education & instruction and early education. Especially through the analysis of activity design and structure of on-the spot instruction, this study demonstrates how to interact with children, and to achieve the aim of instructing parents by the method of discussion. Meanwhile, as the auxiliary form of on-the-spot guidance, Parents' Sharon and Expert Consultation in outside-the-field instruction, as well as parents forum and expert question & answer in Network instruction also play the important role in parents' education of children.The research also considered the extent the three patterns to satisfy parents' demands, namely, value analysis.
