Under the background of basic educational courses reform and advocating developmental education on evaluation, portfolio assessment system is the field that lots of educators and teachers focus on. Since 1980's, this system is widely used as a kind of recording all the active and interesting stories during children' s grown-up in the reform of educational evaluation in other countries. So it is a perfect method of evaluating the level, development, efforts and improvement of children. Compared with the paper test and other evaluation systems, portfolio assessment system can offer abundant information to teachers,parents and students themselves which can indicate what the students know, what they want and what they can do.With the advancement of educational courses reform, many national testing areas adopt portfolio assessment system as a new type of developmental education evaluation. But, due to people's deviation in recognition, there exists many problems in practice. In some testing school in Shenzhen, portfolio assessment system has been stopped for a time. The study selects Shenzhen two key elementary schools. From the research of questionnaires, interviews and analysis, we can see that the new type of developmental education evaluation has great life-force in practice. At the same time we can also find some problems: content fragmentation, lack of clear evaluation criteria and operational requirements in portfolio assessment system; lack ofcommunication and feedback in a timely fashion with the students and parents......Summarizing experience, solving problems are the final aims of the research.
