Teachers' receptivity is an important factor that influences the curriculum implement. Based on the new round of curriculum reform in basic education, the thesis is to know teachers' attitudes to the new curriculum and their behavior intentions in Elementary and Middle school of Zhejiang province by survey and interview. The thesis also discusses the main factors to affect teachers' receptivity to curriculum reform by analyzing non-monetary cost-benefit, practicality of the curriculum, issues of concern, perceived supports from inside and outside of the school. Then, the thesis makes some suggestions on how to enhance the teachers' receptivity to new curriculum in Elementary and Middle school of Zhejiang province.This thesis uses quantitative research and qualitative research. The first research discusses the teachers' attitudes and behavior intentions to new curriculum and the main factors to affect them by survey on 1980 elementary and middle school teachers in 11 districts in Zhejiang province as research subject. The second research selects six schools as cases, divided into four categories, to probe into the teachers' true feeling about new curriculum in more detail. The main research findings are as follows:1. The teachers in Elementary and Middle school of Zhejiang province have high receptivity to new curriculum and they participate in the curriculum reform actively and responsibly.2. The age and the years of teaching are two factors that affect the teachers' receptivity to new curriculum. The teacher who is older and has long years of teaching has lower receptivity to curriculum reform.3. The teacher in rural school has lower receptivity than the teacher in city school and the teacher in Middle school has lower receptivity than the teacher in Elementary school.4. The practicality of the curriculum should be increased and the curriculum reform needs teachers' satisfaction.5. The method of evaluation is a main barrier to implement of new curriculum.6. Social culture factor affect teachers' receptivity to new curriculum.Based on two sub-researches, the thesis proposes the mechanism by which teachers' receptivity affect the implement of curriculum and suggestions on how to enhance the teachers' receptivity to new curriculum:1. Strengthening teachers' training.2. Improving the system of new curriculum.3. Building adequate outside supporting system.
