Content: Nowadays, the main contents of politics-teaching materials in senior high school include The general knowledge of economy of Grade one, The general knowledge of philosophy of Grade two and The general knowledge of politics of Grade three as well as some current affairs. This set of textbooks, with the characters of intellectual, ideological and educational nature, is suitable for teachers to teach and also for students to learn by themselves because of its novelty, abundant contents, reasonable structure and readability. Fully developing the functions of moral education is very important to upgrade the level of students' moral. The majority of the minors are senior high school students, most of them are under the age of 18, at the very stage of transforming from minor into adult. On one hand, they are active and energetic, on the other hand, they have not fully developed mentally and physically, and haven' t any experience in social living, therefore, they are too superficial and impulsive to handle the social problems they faced. So, these students, staying at the"dangerous stage" of their life, are often troubled by the conflict between feeling and intellect. In the market economy circumstance, the senior high school students are easily mislead by some bad factors in society and families, so it is necessary to lay weight on students'belief education, good faith education, correct values and world views education, patriotism and great Chinese ethos education, and Deng Xiaoping theory and"three represents" theory education. Young students are the future of the country and the hope of our nation. Exploring ways in senior high school political teaching practice is significant in teaching student knowledge, training their ability, upgrading the level of their ideology and morals, helping them develop in an all-round way—morally, intellectually, physically, virtuously and creatively, cultivating the students to be the eligible builders and successors of our socialism, and constructing a comfortably-off and harmonious socialistic society.I write this thesis with the knowledge of teaching theory and the experience I got from my teaching practice in senior high school. In this thesis, I firstly expatiate upon the significance of improving the functions of moral education though politics teaching in high school, then analysis the present situation and the existing problems in the moral teaching through the statistics sample survey. Finally I put forward some views on how to improve the function of moral education through politics teaching in high school.
