By consulting a lot of documents and giving them a careful sifting, including, analogy and analysis from culture angle and by following the principle of bold supposition, detailed demonstration, The author attempts to find out the origin of TangLangQuan and how it is passed on from master to their disciples, to make a further research to inquire into various elements that affect the spreading of TangLangQuan and to provide valuable references for TangLangQuan's future development.The research shows that the wide-spread stories in the society about the origin of TangLangQuan are all fiction. The man named Wanglang is a sheer fictitious character. Sheng Xiao dao ren is probably the person called Li Bing-xiao who made up the legend that Wanglang was the founder of TangLangQuan. Actually the real founder ofTangLangQuan was Li Bing-xiao himself.TangLangQuan came into being during the period when Emperor QianLong of the Qing Dynasty ruled, to be exact, around 1762. There is no direct relation between the origin of TangLangQuan and ShaoLin WuShu. TangLangQuan was not wide spread during the early years of its development. In the age of Liang Xue-xiang, the influence of TangLangQuan was increased mainly in Laiyang,Haiyang,Qixia and other different areas in Yantai.In the age of Jiang Hua-long, TangLangQuan flourished and its Branches such as MeiHua (TaiJiMeiHua),QiXing were formed.LiuHe TangLangQuan originated in Cangzhou, Hebei province, has some relationship with TangLangQuan.But the theories and techniques are quite different and so it can't be placed in the same group with TangLangQuan. Since the 20th century, the channel and speed at which TangLangQuan has spread has been increased gradually. Under the influence of political and economy, TangLangQuan has spread to Qingdao,the three provinces in Northeast China,Beijing,Tianjin,Shanghai,HongKong,Guangdong,Taiwan,Korea,Southeast Asia and other areas of Europe and...
