The teacher's "teaching" and the student's "learning" are bilateral compound activities that form the education activity. How to appropriately handle their relationship is the key of successful education. In the recent 20 or 30 years, "The Scaffolding Teaching" that is popular in domestic and foreign countries raises a novel and vivid view in this fespect. The scaffolding teaching is of benefit to teacher's supervising, enlightening and guiding, benefit to carrying out the new curriculum principle, benefit to the teacher and student's growth.On account of the scaffolding teaching under the constructing teaching model advocates the learning, which bases on teaching's guiding and centers on the students, the scaffolding teaching finds out a suitable combination between the adult's "teaching" and the child's "learning", and effectively realizes the interaction of "teaching" and learning. "The scaffolding teaching" emphasizes on using the circumstances, discussion, conversation and other environmental factors to set up reasonable "Scaffold" for the students to climb continuously, so as to achieve the construction of knowledge's significance. The applying of "The Scaffolding Teaching" to teach mathematics can advance the cognitive subject's active constructing, and helps the students to realize meaningful learning. The significance is very great nowadays."The Scaffolding Teaching" emphasizes on the process that the students acquire knowledge actively, develop intellect and ability, refine the character and form the perfect personality. Its' purpose is to construct and create the student's subject consciousness, to develop the student's perfect personality, includes emotion, idea, truth, kindness and beauty, and make the students "love to learn", "master" and "can learn". It embodies the unification of the teacher's guiding and student's active learning; the unification of cognitive and un-cognitive factors; the unification of certainty and uncertainty of teaching.To advocate democracy and various form of teaching corresponds with the mathematics teaching which advocated by the new curriculum reform. They achieve the same goal through different means. Today we learn and use "The Scaffolding Teaching". Its connotation and character plays an effective role in constructing new strategy of mathematics teaching under the background of curriculum reform, meanwhile, it is helpful for student's complete, harmonious and healthy development.
