Lev Semenovich Vygotsky thought while confirming the real relation between developmental process and teaching probability, at least two levels should be confirmed, that is, children's real and potential level of development. The difference of the two levels is called zone of proximal development. Zone of proximal development theory shows us students'developmental probability and discloses the relationship among teaching, learning and development. Only exceeding teaching is the best one. It is teaching that created zone of children's proximal development.This dissertation summarized some methods of Zone of proximal development according to teaching practice. Teaching of analytical geometry has been directed by using it and tracing research has been carried out. The absorbed methods of Zone of proximal development in tracing research are as follows: absorbing new thing from the old one, from easy to difficult, from special to general, setting frames, keeping them in suspense and analogy.The result of tracing teaching shows that the teaching under direction of Zone of proximal development theory can shorten teaching time. Teaching materials lie in better quality, not in bigger quantity. So teachers should make approach to students and understand their zone of proximal development. At the same time the results suggest the students who are mid-class or upper-class have made more progress.Furthermore some inspiration have been drawn from the teaching process.
