The new Curriculum Standard have put forward a new demand on Chinese course. Traditionally, teachers are the centers of the teaching processes and they are always busy explaining and answering questions in class. That is not good to encourage students to learn actively and will prevent students from learning individually. It also can't cultivate the students' creative thinking. But now, with the development of information technology, we are facing new chances and opportunities to improve our teaching methods. The structuralism gives us the theoretical basis for our experimental teaching reform, on which we try to combine movie and video resources with Chinese course in senior middle school. The combination of these two is to introduce plenty of movies and TV plays in Chinese teaching, and properly mix them together in many ways and occasions in different forms, which helps to create new atmosphere for students to learn freely. The vivid dialogues, active images and actual sounds directly stimulate the students' sensory organs and greatly promote the students' learning abilities so that they can study more enthusiastically. Movies and Videos also arose students' interest in reading original famous works, consequently widening their reading scopes. At the same time, movies and TV plays can help students fully understand the knowledge in the textbooks and also widen their views. We make use of movies and videos to set situations in which students can study and do some research actively. Basically this means helps the students to promote their comprehensive quality.
