A Survey On Status And Designing Questionnaire Of The Undergraduates' Occupational Interests

Occupational interest, as one of influencing facets of occupation selection, plays an important role in the exchange process between individual-selecting and post-demanding. Currently, newly vocations rush out continually, and the range of people's occupational interest becomes wider and wider. University students are the mainstay of modernization construction in our country, so it is very valuable in theory and practice to study their occupational interests. Based on overviews of former researchers and the investigation of open-ended questionnaire, the theoretical hypothesis was constructed. According to relevant scales at home and abroad and the situation of current China, we compile the Preliminary Questionnair of the Undergraduates' Occupational Interests. The logical structure of undergraduates' occupational interests was constructed by the exploring factor analysis of the preliminary questionnaire and the confirmatory factor analysis of the formal questionnaire. Finally, Questionnair of the Undergraduates' Occupational Interests was formed. What's more, the characteristics of occupational interests of university students were investigated with this questionnair.The results of the study showed that:1. There are eight types of undergraduates' occupational interests. Realistic, Investigative, Natural, Artistic, Social, Powerful, Enterprising and Conventional.The order of these types can be confirmed and accord with above-mentionde sequence. Types that are next to one another are most closely related-for example, Realistic and Investigative, Natural and Artistic, Social and Powerful, Enterprising and Conventional. Types that alternate with one another are more closely related-for example, Realistic and Natural, Investigative and Artistic, Social and Enterprising, Powerful and Conventional.2.
