The Analysis Of Current Situation In Teaching Martial Arts And The Research On Its Development Strategies Of Common Universities In Jiangxi Province

With the furtherment of P.E reforms in colleges and universities, how to develop the talents needed for 21^st century is the main problem facing to colleges and universities. As a result, a series of reforms on P.E teaching are being carried out in colleges and universities. Wushu is one of traditional national sports, with the features of fitness, amusement, appreciation and without limits of time, seasons, climate, ground and apparatus, is liked by students. JiangXi province is a developing region ,so selecting Wushu as the item of P.E teaching is an efficient way.To know about the teaching presents of Wushu options in JiangXi and the influencial factors, the dissertation shares predecessors' theories and experience on Wushu teaching, consults world-wide research achievements, conducts an intensive investigation and study to the objects of 35 teachers and 357 students in 16 colleges and universities in JiangXi province, and finally draws the following conclusions.(1) At present, a high rate of Wushu options, but relatively poor ground is offered in colleges and universities in JiangXi.(2) There still exist unspecific teaching targets.(3) Teaching materials are out of date and short of logicality and system aticality.(4) The teachers' educational backgrounds are irrational, and professional teacher are disproportionate.(5) A large proportion of students has poor Wushu foundation.(6) The content consists mainly of regular skills and tricks, but lacks of practical attack-defence exercises, which is apt to lead to students' tiredness.The dissertation also puts forward some advice and countermeasures to the problems as follows:(1) The schools should strengthen the curriculum and ground construction to improve the environment of Wushu teaching.(2) The schools should strengthen teaching material, building and set up a multi-system,to meet the demands of Wushu teaching.(3) The schools should adopt multi-dimensional appraisal.(4) The schools should divide the students into several and choose different contents.(5) The schools should offer more hours to teaching so as to spare students more time to exercise and grasp the skills.(6) The schools should highlight the theorical teaching, combined with the attack-defence practice.
