Spatial And Temporal Analysis Of Job-housing Space And Commuting In Ningbo On Big Data

The distribution characteristics of job-housing space and its impact on commutation behavior are one of the important topics of urban geography and urban planning.In the last decades Chinese cities have seen the rapid urbanization and the social space transition period,there is a serious working and residential separation problem,causing the increase of commuting distance and time.This reflects problems such as city traffic congestion,housing tension and so on.In the previous studies,domestic and foreign scholars mainly obtain the survey data through traditional methods,but this distance is not a true sense of commuter distance.Also,domestic scholars focus more on cities like Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou,few scholars study Chengdu,Lanzhou and other western capital cities,there is a lack of study on job-housing space separation and commuting in east sub-provincial city.Based on the bus smart card data from September 13,2015 to September 19,2015,This paper studies the job-housing space and commuting feature using GIS10.2,spss19.0 and Excel2007 to identify the residents’ residence and employment area.Commuting trip with commuting distance and flow and the paper analyzes the commuting characteristics of of Ningbo residents in terms of commuting distance,flow direction and traffic from the perspective of administrative district and street and scale circle and sector scale then,this paper discusses the job-housing separation degree of the streets in Ningbo,and finally sums up the general characteristics of commuting.The study found that:(1)The living space of Ningbo has decentralized organizational characteristics,and the employment space presents the organizational characteristics of Sanjiangkou as the core.(2)The average commuting distance of residents in Ningbo is 5.78 km,which is the law of distance decay.(3)The flow direction of commuting on the administrative district scale is from the north to the west and from the east to the west.On the street scale,the residents’ flow direction of commuting is basically from the center to the center.(4)The basic pattern is from the outer circle to the inner circle pattern.(5)The commuting flow is from the east northeast to west northwest and southeast,the west northwest to the southwest and southeast and the north northeast to southwest.(6)The heavy job-housing separation streets mainly distributed in SanJiangkou CBD,the middle separation of A-type are located in the western part of the Sanjiangkou CBD,the moderate job separation of B-type are located in the eastern part of Sanjiangkou CBD,the mildly separated streets are located in Sanjiangkou CBD far beyond the suburbs.
