It is unconceivable and impossible that teaching is without interaction and communication. Interaction is ubiquitous whether in traditional classroom or distance education. "Distance education is characteristic of separation of timeand space......, under this condition, interaction is becoming the key variable forthe success of instruction."Nowadays, with the rapid development of IT, distance education is paid great importance and favor by more and more people. More and more people make choice of online-learning to refresh their knowledge. The character of separation of time and space bring great convenience as well as many problems to learning. Distance learners have to realize their learning in virtue of technical medium, most behavior of teaching and learning must carry through technical medium although distance education does not exclude short-term face-to-face lecture. As the carrier of learning content, web-course must elaborately designed so that knowledge can be delivered successfully; meanwhile in the medium space composed of technologies, the social and mental environment of traditional classroom knowledge acquisition does not exit, the absence of this environment influenced the effect of distance teaching and learning to great extent. So it is necessary to study and explore the interaction in the distance education, so as to realize the integration between distance teaching and learning through excellently designed interaction of teaching and learning. But it is a pity that there is lack of an operable framework for interaction design in distance education although there are many research findings about interaction whether at home and abroad. In this paper, the author will try hard to find an operable framework for instructional interaction design of distance education.In this study, the author illustrated the definition of interaction and reclassified the type of interaction, constructed a new model. Explored the relative theories associated with interaction of distance education. Parsed the factors influencing the distance interaction in a whole framework, and brought forward 5 basic principles for interaction design of distance education. Finally, based all the above, the author constructed a framework model for interaction design of distance education, and explored all of parts of the model in detail so as to afford distance instructor an operable & referred framework.
