With the coming of new century, information technology has been arousing revolutionary innovation in education field, the 3th generation distance-education based on application of interactive electronic & telecommunication technology is developping rapidly,and pushing evolvement and progress of our country's distance-education. The most difference distinguishing the 3th generation distance-education with feature of interaction from the former two generations is that it can provide more interactive ability and space of self-learnning for students getting education.In this subject ,with deployment of the thorough research on demostic and foreign interactive theory and practice ,by taking the three new elements(namely "students,teachers and resources")in modern distance-education as the clue for research, taking teachers and students that have participated the open experimental project in Gansu broadcasting &television university and modern distance-education project in Lanzhou university's network education college as the investigating objects, a investigation on interactive status,interactive content and interactive demand in modern distance-education have been done through questionnaire, then valuable data has been acquired.In this paper, based on discussing theory, the emphasis of research is investigation and analysis on status of modern distance-education in Gansu broadcasting & television university and Lanzhou university's network education college.the status of modern distance-education's interaction has been investigated from following aspects—interaction between resources and teachers&students, interaction between teachers and students, interaction inside students, and interaction inside teachers. The statistic analysis on investigating data has been done by using SPSS13, and then some advanced subjects ,such as the interactive design on learnning resources that could influence and restrict quality of distance-education, students' tendency of contacts and motivation of contacts, teachers' teching behaviors, has been dicussed elementarily.what has been done as above mentioned is really important for doing investigation on situation of interaction, doing deep analysis on interaction's process and rule in modern distance-education, and these jobs would eventually provide academic theory for finding effective ways that can estimate and innovate teaching design and teaching level in distance-education. In the end of this paper, according to the result of research, some effective advices have been put forward from aspect of inspiring students' learnning motivation.
