Study On Relations Between Dagongbao And Sports Of China In Modern Times

The thesis has reviewed the development of sports of China in modern times, through Dagongbao----one of the main newspapers of China in modern times. The thesis has four parts, the first part gives a brief discussion about the influence of Dagongbao on development of China sports from the very beginning of Dagongbao to the foundation of Republic of China. The second part explains the relation between Dagongbao and sports in Republic of China. Dagongbao advocated the decline of the whole-nation military thoughts, the third part reviews the development of China sports from 1927 to 1937, before the war anti Japan fascism, during this period, Dagongbao had an important influence on school sport, social sport, and competitive sport. Dagongbao also led the argument between the sports abroad and home. In the fourth part, discusses the influence of Dagongbao on air-gliding movement, national healthy movement and reform to sport in school during the war against Japan.
