With the development of modern society and the progress of the time, Chinese - Teaching in senior middle school is in face of many chances and challenges. My essay mainly states the necessity and the value of Classical-Chinese in senior middle school by analysing the present situation and looking back to the history of it. Besides, according to the spirit of the new Curriculum Standard of Course of Senior Middle School- foster the ability of reading some simple articles in Classicai-Chinese using the sense of language and some common sense, try to know about the cultural background of Classical-Chinese, and to experience the spirit of it, so as to achieve the modern purpose. Then I also try to find out the reasons why Classical-Chinese cannot develop in senior middle school, brighten the requirements of Classical-Chinese teaching and emphasize the importance of it, and state my own opinions on Classical-Chinese teaching and the direction of its reforming: change the form of explaining some articles separately, but use the modern teaching method to emphasize the importance of joining different subjects together. And try to make the students interested in learning it, learn it easily and learn it well by using modern teaching method, so that the students can quote some Classical-Chinese motto and then use it for their own purpose. In this way, they can appreciate the beauty of the language by themselves. We should also lead the students to experience the virtue of Classical-Chinese, as well as making them feel the broad mind of some first-class people to achieve the purpose of Classicai-Chinese teaching.
