Strategies of Fostering Students' Aesthetic Intelligence In Junior English Teaching is written by Qi Jinchun, who is guided by vice-professor Cai Shulan. It focuses on how to foster students' aesthetic intelligence in junior English teaching.Intellect refers to cognitive ability, comprehensive ability, memory and so on. Ability is individual psychology characteristics; it is necessary condition of finishing some activity successfully and effectively. Aesthetic intelligence refers to intelligence that human being apperceive, understand, appreciate, evaluate and create the beauty of nature, art or society. In detail, it represents human being's understanding, appreciating, evaluating and creating the beauty of visual images, hearing materials, linguistical materials and characters. On the standpoint of students' characteristic developing, fostering students' aesthetic intelligence can inspire students' active feelings, help them build up learning needs or motivate, and help them form ideal of pursuing beautiful things. On the standpoint of students' psychology developing, fostering students' aesthetic intelligence is also helpful to enhance students' cognitive ability, foster students' healthy feelings and stable characteristic trend. Students' aesthetic intelligence can be depended on different layers in different subjects.Junior students' aesthetic apperception is confined by their knowledge background and aesthetic experience. They are easy to be absorbed by appreciable, lively image. Their aesthetic feeling is strong, but their taste is not profound. Their aesthetic imaginations have strong objective feeling color and personal characteristics. They are easy to understand surface meaning, but they are short of understanding deep-seated meaning, they can't analyze aesthetic objects generally, typically and objectively.Language teaching process is the process accompanied with fostering aesthetic intelligence. In this process, students apperceive, understand and appreciate not only the beauty of language itself, but also the beauty of language teaching media. They get some aesthetic feelings and experiences as well as language rule- systems. But incurrent junior English teaching, there are some English teachers who still teach English by practicing exercise time after time, they ignore seizing students taste in English class and make some students dislike learning English. It is easy to lead students to live in low learning mood and have some passive effect on their life-long developing.The key to solve this problem is to change English teaching methodology, make junior English teaching students-centered, pay close attention to students' feeling in English learning, choose some suitable teaching strategies to foster students' aesthetic intelligence to some extent. Strategies of Fostering Students' Aesthetic Intelligence In Junior English Teaching are strategies according to junior students' psychology developing characteristics and English language characteristics. In English language teaching, teachers choose beautiful language, use some beautiful assistant medias, and carry out some interesting teaching activities. So students' English learning are colorful and interesting. Their aesthetic feelings are enriched in English language learning.In Junior English teaching, English teachers help students apperceive strong points, form aesthetic image, develop aesthetic imagination and improve aesthetic capability. Students' aesthetic intelligence is developed in these four aspects. The dissertation focuses on how to develop students' aesthetic intelligence in each aspect in junior English teaching.
