This paper introduce multiple intelligence theory into rural junior Englishteaching. Multiple intelligence theory let us know the essence of the people’sintelligence and gives us more inspirations on teaching work.In this paper, the author surveys2rural schools in Maoming city, Guangdongprovince,27in-service teachers of English, as well as217students in total. After that,the main problems of teaching English in rural school are proposed and analyzed.At last, the method on how to use multiple intelligence theory in English teaching isapplied in above two schools by intervening the English teaching and learning. And itachieves the expected effect. The study result puts forward some views of considers tothe related departments and teachers.
