Facing to the challenges of IT in education development, our government has decided to popularize Information Technology education in primary and secondary schools, spending five to ten years. Setting up Information Technology required course is the main form. How to foster IT literacy has become hot point in numerous front-line teachers and education researchers. The practice of Information Technology course instruction has proved that the method of task-driving fit for ITC. This article adopted researching method such as experimentation, bibliography, interview, and observation to carry profound exploration on applying task-driving method to take Information Technology course in primary and secondary schools.This article can be divided into four parts. The first part of this paper illustrated back-ground, actualities, goal, meaning and method of the researches. The second part of this paper expounded basic concept, basic theory, task-designing principle, main teaching strategy and link of task-driving method. The third part expounded procedure of specific teaching practice researches. The forth part is discussion and summary. It proved that task-driving method has advantages in study of operating soft-ware, but it did not carry thorough teaching research on computerlarguage and study of computer principia, it needs author's further improvement. For junior middle school students, because of low-grade students lack of ability of self-controlling, when applying task driving method, low-grade students should strengthen teachers' guide and management. But for the senior middle school students, abstractive logical thinking is comparatively mature, outstanding comportment is that their thinking has more prescience and introspection and they have the ability to design and complete task plan. When teacher applied task-driving method, teachers should enhance student's self-determination properly and give the students more chance to explore.In conclusion, the teacher should apply task-driving teaching method properly in teaching according to teaching aims and teaching objects, and also should educate furthest student's information quality to bring up high-qualified person with ability of handling information.
