In recent years, people in our country have implemented some reforms in elementary education. In order to adjust the modulation of cuttivating objectives and the changes in the style of cultivating talents, and to face the challenges of the new technological revolution. Using new teaching materials is the beginning of a new round of course reform, as well as significant measure of enforcing quality education and cultivating students'spirit of innovation.Teaching and studding is the major way of enhancing the quality of education, while teachers have to proceed their classroom teaching based on textbooks. Guided by the new reforming idea of"centering on students'development"and"life long education", aiming at quality education, based on the"teaching outline of chemistry", required by students psychological and physical development and the need of the future society for talents, absorbing the recent successful experience of the reform in senior chemistry in our country, we compiled this"new senior chemistry textbook"(new edition). Understanding the new textbook for senior I accurately helps improve the teaching quality. The new teaching material has been greatly reformed in many aspects such as knowledge structure, knowledge amount, emboding the experiments of chemistry, stimulating students'interest, improving students'comprehensive qualities. It is very beneficial for teachers to master these characteristics.In the passage,the author introduces the background of the new teaching material's production.It is more interesting in arrangement of whole pages,more flexible in context so as to strengthen its attractiveness. Itsemphasis is to train the students'ability of practice, innovation. The knowledge structure of new teaching material is more reasonable .The author wants to analyze the goal of education, knowledge structure, the order of teaching material arrangement, adjustment of teaching materials and so on and so forth. The author also wants to compare new teaching materials and the old ones in order to show new characteristics of new teaching materials, and get information in many other ways. Then students can form lifelong study idea; students'ability can be improved in all ways .We can see the new teaching materials facing 21st century, and can also show the characters of new times. The new teaching material has its own characters. There are many new experiments in it in order to make students achieve the practice ability and innovational spirit. Students can be taught to learn by arousing their interests. There are many problems for students to discuss in. when asked questions, students are encouraged to think more .The new teaching has more connection with life itself, students can know more about environment, the chemistry history, the development of society. People can discuss the relationships between chemistry and society, life, technology, environment.STS is a craze and tendency in modern international reform in science teaching .The new teaching material closely keeps pace with the development of the times. It also embodies the close connection between chemistry and society, chemistry and life, and chemistry and production. In the aspects of the introduction of new technology and new materials, in the development and utility of resource and energy, and in the cultivation of environmental ideology. It also appropriately embodies the STS teaching contents in teaching activities.The new teaching material makes chemistry teaching show a new vitality. Meanwhile, it has made greater demands on teachers, who are supposed to carry out textbooks. Only by updating their modes of thought, continuing withtheir studying, carefully studing teaching materials, correctly using the new textbooks, improving their teaching level, and attaching importance to students'innovation, can teachers adjust themselves to the new situation of course reform in elementary education.
