From the founding of People's Republic of China, through over 50 years' development and reform, the curriculum system of the elementary education in our country has come into being and improved greatly. But there are some problems existed.For our country, considering the transitional value of the curriculum reform, the change of the education policies, the spreading of the curriculum reform and the understanding and acceptance by most teachers, it is necessary to adopt"teaching program" instead of "curriculum syllabus".In the geography curriculum syllabus, the geography knowledge, skill, ability and moral education are treated as the main contents of geography education. However, because of the lacking of support system in realizing the teaching aim, especially the evaluation system, it turns out that it is really difficult to achieve the goal of both"ability" and"moral education" in the actual teaching process. It is clearly put forward in the geography curriculum standard that"fostering the essential geography attainment of modern citizens", support and carry out the curriculum goal of geography attainment in terms of knowledge and skill, process and method, emotion, attitude and values, and also from the choice and organization of course content, exploratory study method, the evaluation of process and result, the use of geography course resource, combined with the geography curriculum aim, finally achieve the goal that train the students' overall ability of geography attainment. Teaching program is the programmatic document of the national curriculum, and it is treated as the basic standard and quality requirement. This curriculum reform has changed the curriculum syllabus into teaching program, from this point it reflects the basic concept curriculum reform.This thesis focuses Senior middle school Geography Curriculum standards (triol) and Senior middle school Geography Teaching Syllabus and the thread is the comparison between senior geography teaching syllabus and senior geography curriculum standards. Through the research of the relationship among the senior geography curriculum reform, curriculum standard and curriculum syllabus, on the basis of senior geography curriculum reform both home and abroad, review the past and look forward to the future of the development of the curriculum standard, it is hoped that it can provide the theoretical basis of the following research considering the problems existing in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
