The inquiry teaching is the common trend of the domestic education reforms and overseas. The inquiry teaching can provide the important educational way for the goal the students'" knowledge and skill, process and method, emotion attitude and values". Getting the advantage of the traditional teaching method, this paper has constructed the task-driven inquiry teaching mode of the college engineering physics and the college physics experiment.The research aims at providing the theoretical support and practical participation for the inquiry teaching enforcement in the college engineering physics and the physics experiment. The content includes teaching process , mode characteristics, and enforcement rules of the task-driven inquiry teaching, also the paper summaries the possibility and effect of the teaching mode in the college engineering physics as well as the physics experiment.This research practice indicates that the task-driven inquiry teaching mode can get the students'more affirmation to the college engineering physics and the physics teachers than the traditional instructing mode, and that it can stimulate more interest in physics and increase the scientific researching consciousness ; the task-driven teaching mode also can give more help on the students'physics knowledge memorizing , understanding ,applying and operation ability so as to improve the ability solving problems and the students'college physics achievement.
