Comparison Of Some Cooperative Learning Theory

As an instruction theory and strategy which was widely applied and got highly appraised, cooperative learning has also been widely applied since it was introduced to China in the 80's. Nowadays, with the new curriculum reform advocating"autonomy, inquiry and cooperation", cooperative learning plays an important role with its unique advantages. However in the instruction practice, a large number of teachers feel confused when they are faced with all kinds of cooperative learning theories.The article tries to compare and study some types of cooperative learning theories which are impressive and representative, aiming to sum up their common characteristic and special characteristic, looking forward to help teachers to comprehend the essential meaning of the cooperative learning better and master the method of the cooperative learning better.This dissertation can be divided into seven parts, and the brief contents of each part are as follows:Part one introduces the basic principle of Kagan's Cooperative structure, some types of Kagan's Cooperative structure and the basic theory of Kagan's Cooperative structure.Part two introduces the basic principle of David W. Johnson and Roger T. Johnson Cooperative learning, instruction application of David W. Johnson and Roger T. Johnson Cooperative learning and the basic theory of David W. Johnson and Roger T. Johnson Cooperative learning.Part three introduces the basic principle of Robert Slavin Cooperative learning, Robert Slavin Cooperative learning's instruction strategy and Robert Slavin Cooperative learning's basic theory.Part four simply summarizes S.Sharan's cooperative learning theory and Elizabeth Cohen's cooperative learning theory.
