In the research field of mathematical education, it is now widely accepted that cognitive as well as affective factors– such as attitudes, beliefs, feelings, and moods– must be explored if our understanding of the nature of mathematics learning is to be enhanced. With the developments of the research on the facts that influence mathematics learning,it is found that belief is one of the important factors. And how students'mathematical beliefs influence their learning of this subject has attracted considerable research attention. Students'beliefs have a great of relations with the educational and cultural context in which they situated. Although there exist a lot of splendid research results that are worth profiting from, to exploring the Students'mathematical beliefs that are formed in the special educational and cultural context and their influences on mathematics learning is still of some research value. Students' mathematical beliefs are based on their experiences gained in mathematics learning. In some sense, students' mathematical beliefs is one kind of feedback of mathematical education. Therefore, studying students' mathematical beliefs will be beneficial for us to rethinking the problems that exist in the current mathematical education with new curriculum, and will bring us the important education theory significance and the practice value. Theoretically, the research of this field will provide us with a new point of view for illustrating and understanding the student mathematics learning and behaviors. Practically, the research of this field may provide us with new solutions for the problems that exist in the learning and teaching of mathematics and the new way in which we improve the student mathematics learning. Moreover, in the research technique, the correlative research made at present in domestic is mainly some quantitative research, and there is few qualitative research on students' mathematical beliefs, specially on senior high school students'mathematical beliefs. This paper will show some qualitative research that have made to explore senior high school students'mathematical beliefs, and that will be one kind of effective supplement to the quantity research had been made.
