Since the 1980s, taking the exploratory study as the foundation and reconstructing the elementary education have become the prominent characteristic which the various countries reform. In 2004 the autumn, in our country, the courses reform of the compulsory education stage have entered the stage which implements the new courses entirely. The new courses have placed cultivating the student's innovation spirit and practice ability on the prominent status. The exploratory teaching is one of the teaching methods that reflect the new concept of courses, which plays an active part in cultivating the student's innovation spirit and practice ability. In order to enrich and improve the theories of the exploratory teaching, provide the mathematics exploratory teaching example and method referenced and adopted by the junior mathematics teachers and students in the practice activities of teaching mathematics, this article takes Class 35 ,Junior Grade 3, 2005, Guangxi Pingguo Aluminum Company Middle School , as research subjects, started in June, 2004 and ended in May, 2005, lasted one year time and conducted the experimental study. The results of the experiment show the following facts: firstly, there are remarkable differences in the radiation thinking ability and creation ability between the students of the experimental class and those of the control class, especially, in the aspect of flexibility, the differences are more remarkable, the radiation thinking ability and creation ability have been improved generally by carrying on the exploratory teaching. Secondly, the exploratory teaching can strengthen the enthusiasm which the students study mathematics, can also increase the interest which the students study mathematics, can promote and transform actively the quality of the student's study attitude, study consciousness and the study habit. Thirdly, the students of the experimental class have made much more rapid progress in mathematics than those of the control class through the exploratory teaching experiment, thus the fact shows the exploratory teaching must enhance the grade in mathematics quickly.
