The teacher and course are two essential elements during the educational process, both of them make up of the main targets of the educational researches in schools. The teacher, as an important component, must play certain role in curriculum, so the teachers' role is the hot spots, which is concerned by the field of education theory and practice. The foreign teachers'group in colleges is not only the new thing which is brought by Chinese reform and opening-up, but also has become a brilliant view line of higher education particularly during the process of Globalization of Education, so it has important realistic meaning for people to concern and research this special group of teachers. Base on it, writer attempt to do practical class research of foreign teachers'role of curriculum in colleges for the purpose that we can show basis in fact and theoretical premise for the ought-to-be research to foreign teachers'role of curriculum in colleges.The present research was made by qualitative research, which data collected by live observation, interview and objects. And the researcher himself should be the research tool to do the holistic research to the social phenomena. And then the researcher can acquire the theories by using the inductive method to analyze the data. When doing the research, the researcher should do interaction activity with the research object and provide interpretative understanding to the object's action and meaning.Writer chose a class as the research ground, which belongs to the Foreign Language College of S University in Guilin. The cooperator is an American teacher who was in charge of Oral English Course in eight classes. The time of collecting data was from January 2005 to September 2006; the way of collecting included observation, conversation and material objects.
