The art teaching at present should be a free activity, an emotional experience full of game fun, a spiritual cultivation above vanity. The art teaching guided by game spirit will have unlimited creation, the teaching process should be filled with game spirit. This paper adopted the "game spirit" theory and studied the relationship between the game spirit and art teaching on the basis of the ancient philosophy, experience summaries and research. Through various game and art theories, according to the characteristics of the art teaching and the students, the paper summarized the basic game spirits: free spirit; dialogue spirit; creation spirit and personality spirit. Further analysis indicates that the spirits embodied in the game richly and meaningfully related to the art teaching theory and they have inner coherence. According to the art teaching inspiration triggered by the game content and game spirit, the analysis of the current situation and future trend of art teaching, this paper puts forward the art teaching principle, the art teaching method, the art teaching strategy and the demand on teachers guided by game spirit. Combining game spirit with art teaching is the current trend of art teaching. Game spirit makes art teaching creative and energetic, endows it a new meaning of life and develops it into a new stage.
