The curriculum reforms of elementary education bring profound changes to Senior chemitry teaching for China in contents,methods,aims and assessment. Exercise teaching,work assignment and assessment are important links in the teaching process and important questions in curriculum implementation.The new curriculum implementation requires that chimestry teachers should get rid of the effect of exam-oriented education and change the tactics of excessive ass ignment and the exercise view of winning by quantity;at the same time carry on the exercise teaching reform. This article, in the light of humanism, aims to culture the students scientific accomplishment and promotes their all-round dev elopment, and it proposes the assignment view of the new curriculum, discusses the related questions of exercise teaching and work assignment.It,in accordance with the gist of curriculum standard, absorbs the beneficial experience in exeris ec teaching and work assignment from foreign schools,refers to three editions of new curriculum chemistry compulsory teaching materials. It adopts various ways, such as questionnaire survey, data statistics, contrast analysis and so on,and according to the present chemistry teaching situation of our province,it has a study on the functions, types, compilation,uses and assessment of assignment in senior chemistry new curriculum, discusses how to make assignm ents based on the idea of new curriculum ,have a track of it and enhance its effi cacy,thus provides a referrence for the implementation of the new curriculum.
