This thesis, by adopting methods of documentation, investigation, mathematical statistics, examines the pictures of health, living style, sports consumption and, the characteristics of sports involvement group and non-involvement one of university teachers in Fujian province., hoping it could contributively serve as reference and basis for the sports administrations to carry out physical trainings. Studies show that, the teachers' health conditions are far from good; the average time spending on household chores is 2.45 hours, and that of leisure, mainly spent on watching TV, reading books, magazines or newspapers, and going in for sports, is 3.29 hours; sports consumption level is low, the consumptive structure is rather monotonous; though sports' health-enhancement function is finely perceived, sports involving population is small; the teachers prefer to take exercises at dusk, with colleagues or friends as their major partners, walking, mountaineering, badminton, ping pong and jogging as their five favorite items, and free playground or field as their major sports sites; lack of leisure time, heavy work load and long distance to sports sites constitute the first three factors contributing to the non-involvement in physical training; through R-Factor analytical device, 9 factors affecting the Fujian university teachers' sports involvement are, listed in their importance, physiological health, politics, social surroundings, cultural influence, economic condition, consumption consciousness, living style, physical condition and psychological health. As such, university leaders should accordingly strengthenthe efforts in publicizing the policies and laws relevant to spoils, helping the university teachers to develop positive perceptions of exercises; improve their working conditions and working environments, increasing their leisure time; offer them guides to take part in pliysical training scientifically; allocate more fund in sports; popularize those easy and effective sports items; and carry regular physical check-ups among university teachers.
