Because teacher-student conflicts are more apt to take place in the stage of middle school, it is of pratical and theoretical significance to study middle school students'reactions to conflicts of this kind and the underlying factors. This thesis defines teacher-student conflicts as"the overt status of collision between teacher and student, such as oral argument, bodily contact and emotional opposition, etc.."This writer has investigated students from three middle schools in Anhui Province by interview and survey, and analyzed the data collected by Chi-Square Test. This study is mainly about the status quo of teacher-student conflicts in middle schools, the factors that can influence students'reactions to the conflicts, and middle school students'perception of teachers'behaviors and its impact on their counteractions to teacher-student conflicts. Conclusion: Most of the conflicts are emotional: middle school students, as a whole, tend to react to teacher-student conflicts positively and rationally. Middle school students'reactions to teacher-student conflicts are influenced by factors such as their school, grade, gender, school scores, fathers'degree, whether they are liberal or science students, whether they are class or students'organisaton leaders, but there's no sign to show any impact from mothers'degree. Middle school students'perception of teachers'behaviors has direct impact on their counteractions to teacher-student conflicts.Based on the above-mentioned investigation and research, this thesis put forward the following points: To steer middle school students'reaction to teacher-student conflicts into a proper way, equal relationship between teachers and students should be established, and teachers'formal authority and essencial authority be organically united. At the same time, teacher-student's communication should be emphasized to make teachers and students accept each other more easily and the communication circumstance should be improved to establish a long-term conflict-resolving mechanism.
