During the past 30 years, the mathematics education in china has achieved remarkable accomplishments, and its research gained abundant developments. For instance, a great deal of cases of mathematics education reform came out from the practice; some research institutions of mathematics instruction were founded; a series of conference about mathematics education; some high-level journals started their publication; many books about mathematics education research were published; some normal universities began their training for masters of Teaching Material and MethodResearch and doctors of Mathematics Education;....... However, there is still muchto be improved for a better development. For instance, researchers were always in lack of the thoughts about the research methods and its methodology in mathematics education.At the beginning of 21st century, a few researchers began paying attention to the research methods and its methodology in mathematics education; even some researchers put forward the thought of instructing the meta mathematics education. It seems that mathematics education research is advancing towards its maturity. In the background of those developments, this study chooses mathematics instruction as an angle of view, and takes the society development since the CULTURE REVOLUTION as time context, reviews the research methods and its methodology consciousness of those cases in mathematics instruction reform by researching some typical cases.The first chapter of this dissertation marks off three stages from the latest 30 years and takes "renewing", "development" and "deep development" as their themes. Moreover, this chapter points out their demanding from society in different stages, which respectively are "To Improve the Instruction Quality", "To Alleviate Burdens on Teachers and Students" and "To Pursue the Subjective Spirit".The second chapter analyzes the research problems and research methods of cases of mathematics instruction reform during the past 30 years. This kind of research design based on the consideration that methodology consciousness is thoughts over the research problems, research methods and their relationships. Firstly, this dissertation analyzes the problems' types and its finding approaches; then it reviews the systems of research methods of those cases by looking into their research courses, and finally focuses on the Experiment research method.Basing on these analyses, the third chapter starts to look into researchers' methodology consciousness, and subsequently analyzes the research traditions and ways of thinking which might influence researchers' methodology consciousness. This chapter is not interested in constructing the methodology of mathematics instruction, but in presenting the real statuses of researchers' consciousness.
