Wushu has been a reflection of both Chinese ascendant's recognition of marshal laws and their spiritual pursuit, which has embodied the history of Chinese psychology. So, Wushu has been not only an important carrier but also an important component of Chinese traditional culture.However, Wushu has been faced an unoptimistic situation, that is, the amount of Wushu players has shrunk. Without enough number of players, which are the carrier of culture, any kind of culture cannot avoid the doom of extinct. More serious, Competitive Wushu has been increasingly isolated from traditional Wushu. To isolate from the tradition is to isolate from the internal law of Wushu history. Given that, modern Wushu would lose its cultural resource and national characters. As a result, Wushu would lose itself in global communication. If so, that would be tragic not only for Chinese Wushu but also for Chinese culture.As the education base for Wushu, higher PE schools are the main pushers of Wushu. However, the training model for single purpose that has existed for a long time in the Wushu education gives more weight on technology-instruction while less on culture. As a result, the knowledge structure of those people who accept Wushu education in that model is so simple that cannot meet social needs. Even worse, lack of understanding the law of traditional Wushu, modern Wushu would break up with its abundant recourses and lose orientation when facing strong compepitionization. What is Wushu, how different it is from the other kind of marshal, and why? Due to the isolation from traditional social production model which had been the base for Wushu, and short of the instruction about the traditional experiences, nobody now can give a strongly persuasive and culturally appealing answer. Those people who accepted educations in the single model have been collective forgetful, collective voice losing, at last, become self-doubtful, and even, self-denying.From above, enforcing the study of Wushu education, co-collating traditional culture and modern science, are the only way to make Wushu more persuasive and appealing. That will be important for the sustainable development of Wushu and its social utility.This dissertation attends to research from the perspective of curricula how to resolve the problems that trouble Wushu education, the center of high education. Starting from analyzing the nature and the special learning model of Wushu, this dissertation studys the guiding thoughts, content choice, and arrangement of curricula from social science, philosophy, and psychology which are the main bases for modern curricula theory.The first part introduces the problems that have existed and the researches of those. Although many scholars have realized the shortcoming of the single training model, few of them have studied from curricula system.The second part introduces the object and the methods. This dissertation focuses on how to reconstructure the curricula system of Wushu education. For that, guided by Marxism history materialism and dialectics, this dissertation makes a comprehensive application of multi-subjects to study the problems in the curricula of Wushu education.The third part recalls the history of Wushu curricula and analyses the problems and the basic causes of those. As a lagging reform, Wushu curricula based on the traditional model are only for training players and coaches. The guiding thoughts of this traditional training model give much more emphases on material value than spiritual value. The arrangement confuses the relation of subject, major and curricula. Traditional Wushu education has been replaced by competitive Wushu training in the real curricula of Wushu education. As a result, we have lost many traditional technologies. The so-called integration of boxing and training cannot embody the technology characters and the logic relationship that exist in the traditional Wushu. The theory curricula of Wushu have become isolated from the technology curricula.The forth part produces the basic guiding rules to reconstruct a new curricula system of Wushu education. The curricula system of every subject must regard the social need, knowledge system and the recognition law of students, and so on. The goal and the guiding thoughts of Wushu curricula should focus on the training of nation spirit to meet the social need. The content choice should be based on the knowledge structure of traditional Wushu so as to make the technology and culture obtain equal emphasis. The arrangement of the curricula should be in terms with the logics of the subject and the psychological law of students. At last, the practice of the curricula should abide by the special learning method of Wushu, i.e. the embodied manner.
